With myriads of electric lights illuminating the streets, mile upon mile of 'brilliantly colored bunting festooned from building to building, build-ing, and with the laughter and shouts of thousands of carnlvalltes violng with the music of numerous bands, the third annual Rainmakers' carnival will be formally for-mally opened Monday night. The celebration cele-bration of tho annual carnival this year will be one of the largest combined events of Its kind ever held in the west. Five events are being held simultaneously. simultaneous-ly. The celebration of the fiftieth anniversaries anni-versaries of the organization of the territory ter-ritory of Idaho and founding of Fort Boise the beginning of tho city of Boise will begin Monday morning at which time a monster reunion of Idaho pioneers pio-neers from all sections of the west will begin. The Idaho Intcrmountaln fair the state fair and the Boise Stampede will begin at noon Monday. For the past week tourists and visitors visit-ors have been pouring Into the city on every train preparatory to attending the various events of carnival week. Among the early arrivals are many broncho riders, ropers and steer bulldoggers of national reputations from the roundups Rt Cheyenne, Pendleton and other noted frontier day celebrations.
