Show TEAR "BLACK HAND." Celebration of Italian Society at Bingham Bing-ham Develops Some Bitterness. Special to The Tribune. BINGHAM, Sept. 20. Considerable bitteruess of factional feeling developed devel-oped here today, during the fourth annual an-nual celebration of the Italian Benefit society. Supposedly the members of the society aro not members of any labor la-bor union, but during the parade this morning about thirty Italians, some of whom allege connection with the benefit bene-fit organization, trailed the others on horseback and in wagons, carrying banners that were said to contain ' Black Hand" and ''Scab" legends in Italian. Officials who had the celebration cel-ebration in charge expressed fear of an outbreak and some special officers were sworn in. D. Scuff el, an Italian capitalist, who onlv a month ago received re-ceived threatening letters, was marshal of the day. P. Guisoppo is president and P. Caroro secretary of tho organization, organi-zation, which has a large membership here. A day of festivity closed with a big ball. |
