Show RAY EAII1GS Al BEING AniATEO President Aid rich Says the Company Is Getting" on Satisfactorily. Some timely details of the Ray Consolidated Con-solidated operations are sclven In tho cast by Sherwood Aldrlch, president of tho organization, who has finished an Inspection In-spection visit to the mine and mill. He reports developments there as most sat-Jsfacton. sat-Jsfacton. During Match. Rav treated 108,700 tons of ore. with a copper output of a little moro than 2.400.000 pounds and earnings of approximately $157,000. Mining costs for tho month were SS cents por ton, or 10 cents per ton In excess of last year's average cost. The excess cost resulted from a very considerable portion of the production coming from development work. Milling cosls for the month, however, were reduced to 49 cents per ton. But three sections of the mill were In operation during most of March, although al-though a fourth section was run during tho kilter part to handle the Increased tonnage. The mill has been handling from 1100 to 1150 tons per section, and making an extraction of about 71 per cent on oro averaging lesn than 1.75 per cent copper. By the end of the year It Is expected an extraction of 75 nor cent will be obtained on a steadily Increasing tonnage handled. Milling costs are expected ex-pected to be reduced to between (0 cents and 45 cunts a ton, and mining costs to about 70 cents a ton. When Ray Is running at capacity its cost per pound should not be over S cents. At present the company Is earning at the rate of somewhat more than $1 per share, and by October the earnings should reach $2 per share, those earnings earn-ings being figured on treatment of 5000 to 6000 tons of ore daily. Ray has ;i capacity of 10,000 tons a day. In 1911 Ray producod 15,721,520 pounds, and 50,-000.000 50,-000.000 pounds is the estimated production produc-tion for this year. Spoaklpg of political conditions. Mr. Aldrlch said: "I noticed little Roosevelt Roose-velt sontlment In the west; Among the Republicans thero Is a strong Taft sentiment sen-timent and among the non-partisans, even with Republican leanings, thero Is a feeling that if the Democrats nominate a good man we shall have a Democratic administration. The west Is thoroughly tired of muck raking, corporation baiting bait-ing and abuse of railroads. On the Pacific Pa-cific coast business has been somewhat depressed for a yoar, but Is now Improving. Im-proving. Coppor metal appears to be In a more healthy condition than at anv time during the last five years " Boston Mining Stocks. James A.
