Show HIGH TEMPERATURE WILL CAUSE STREAMS TO RISE Special to The Tribune. OGDEN", March 33. A pronounced rise In the water of the Ogden and Weber rivers has been noticed within tho last twenty-four hours. The water in both streams lacks several feet of being on the level with the banks, but If the temperature tem-perature continues, as it has today, It Is expected that by the latter part of the Aveek both streams will reach tho flood stage. The hills and mountains east of the city are still covered with snow to a depth of several feet, and a few consecutive days of warm weather will doubtless cause the streams to overllow their banks. Through precautionary measures taken by City Engineer M. Bostaph and his assistants, all of tho property of Ogden Clly hns been well protected from Hood waters, and the damage. If any. will bo confined lo tho flooding of farms In the western end of the city, where tho channel chan-nel of neither the Ogden river nor the Weber river Is protected by high banks. |
