All loyal sons and daughters of Ohio are urged to attend the meeting to bo held at tho Commercial club Tuosday ' evening. April 20, at S o'clock, for tho purpose of perfecting a permanent organization or-ganization of nn Ohio club. The object of tho organization will be to entertain enter-tain all people who come to the fort.y-j fort.y-j third national encampment from, the J state of Ohio, and especially to entcr- ' tain President Taft on his visit here f at that time. I Colonel Sterrctt. executive director 1 of the encampment, a native of Ohio, I said .Saturday night that it was desir- I able- for the descendants of people from all of the eastern states of the Union to form clubs of a similar kind in order to entertain, people from their native states during the period of tho encampment; encamp-ment; These clubs nave been very prominent prom-inent at- encampments hold in othor cities in the past and people who come from a distanco aro always greatly pleased to be received by thoso who have seen 'their native cities and towns and they feel much more, at home than when they arc welcomed by total strangers. Evidently the now Ohio club will start out under especially happy auspices, aus-pices, for it is known that there will be about InO charter members to tho so-'iety. so-'iety. Dr. J. J. Snider is making an offdrt to secure the names and' addresses ad-dresses of all who have lived in Ohio or aro descendants of people from that state. |
