Interest in the caso of tho llains brothers, now awaiting indictment and trial in tho Queen's county jail for tho murder of. William T. Anuis on the float of the Bayside, Long Island, Yacht club last Saturday, centers today in various contradictory con-tradictory statements issued by tho lnw-ycrs lnw-ycrs for' Captain Peter Uains and his brother, Thornton J. Hains, and by thoBO having in chnrgo the interests ot Mrsj JIains, tho captain's wife. Frank G. Wild, Mrs Uains' attorney, insisted that signed confessions to tho contrary notwithstanding, Mrs. Vilnius had never boon guilty of improper conduct con-duct with Annis.
