Activity at the Jumbo Gypsum company's mill site near SIsurd is being resumed. There has been j some cessation of the work of develop- ment and construction, partly owing to I lack of material, but on Monday morning the force was Increased and the construction construc-tion of tho mill will bo pushed with all vigor. Lorenzo Klelson Is In charge of the work. The penstock and tallracc for the water wa-ter wheel are now nearly completed, thw work on the canal goes on apace and ere long the water will be running. The material ma-terial for the mill is arriving and carpenters car-penters will be busy with the wcetlon of the mill and other buildings. Tho Palo of stock has been most gratifying and now there la ample money on hand to pay all the expenses of the mill and machinery ma-chinery and the product of the mill will be on the market before summer wanes. There has been a determined attempt on the part of some capitalists to gain control of the stock and It Is rather suspected sus-pected that It was the Intent to stop further fur-ther development of the Industry. Just as determined has been the opposition of local parties to keep tho control here, and to develop the property In order to establish a producing Industry In this country. . The local men have prevailed and the work Is going on. A gentleman connected with tho Kcan cement concern con-cern Is expected here soon to invostlgato the Gypsum company's property.
