Show SERIES ANNOUNCED EOII CHAMPIONSHIP Chicago Nationals and Detroit Americans to First Play in Tiger City. COMMISSION NAMES MEN TO REPRESENT TEAMS Umpires Are Chosen; Six Games to Be Played for the World's Title. CINCINNATI, Oct. S. Beginning at 2 o'clock in the afternoon of Saturday, October Oc-tober 10, tiro baseball teams of Chicago and Detroit,1 which have Just won the closest recorded contest for tho championships cham-pionships of the American and National leagues, will meet at Detroit to enter upon a six-day aeries of games for the baseball championship of the world. But one game will be played at Detroit -before tho sceno shifts, the Sundav and Monday contents being acneduled for Chicago, Chi-cago, while Tuesday and Wcdncadav's games are to be played at Detroit, a'nd the sixth game, if one Is necessary, will then be transferred to Chicago. There have been some additional rules adopted governing such contests, although In most respects the rules will be as at previous games. Tho National Baseball commission will be In charge, but tho Immediate control of the gamcB I3 given to two umpires from each league. For the National league, umpires O'Day and Klem were designated designat-ed by President Pulllam, while President Johnson of the American league named Sheridan and Connolly to represent his organization. The following details will govern the world s championship series Certified Checks. The certified checks of $10,000 shall be deposited by each club with the sccretarv of the commission not later that 11 o'clock of the first day of tho scll'dulc. and shall be thereupon, by the secretary. Immediately Immedi-ately placed In bank to tho credit of the National commission. The schedule: Saturday, Octoher 10, Detroit; Sunday, October 11. Chicago; Monday, October 12, Chicago; Tuesdav, October 13, Detroit, Wednesday, October 14, Detroit; Thursday, October 15, Chicago. Chi-cago. The schedule as adopted was determined deter-mined by lot, ns Is provided for by the rules. If any of the games scheduled at any park Is postponed on account of rain, or from any other cause, the teams will be required to play such postponed game on the first, day available, after such postponement post-ponement and at the same park, provided, however, that the game scheduled for tho Chicago park, on Sunday, October 11, shall be played at that park.
