Nugent, who had so much to say at a so-called indignation in-dignation meeting of this club about the alleged high-handed manner in which the nnti-Mormon Democratic patriots pa-triots of Latah countj' selected delegates dele-gates to the Twin Falls convention; was two years ago appointed, presumably by the county chairman, to head the pro-Mormon pro-Mormon delegation from Owyhee county to the state Democratic convention conven-tion at Coeur D'Alcnc. With this magnanimous defender of the Mormon priesthood it was all right then to mako such appointments, but now what ho assumes was done .by the other side is all wrong. The Mormon allies in Boise are lualdng themselves exceedingly ridiculous before thinking, right-minded people. Park City News Notes. Special to The Tribune. PARK CITY, April 21 .John Funk, a prominent and respected resident of this city, died at the Windsor hotel. Salt. T.ake, on Thursday night. Mr. Funk has been ill In Salt Lake for the past several months with sarcoma, and hia recovery was despaired of. Tho deceased wns born in Bergen. SwltiiorJaud, In IS50 and came to Park City thirty years ago. Ho was proprietor of a bnjrbor shop for some years, but of late has been In the mining business. Mr. Funk wos manager of the South Dakota mine and vice-president of tho company. Ho is survived by a wife and two daughters, Mrs. Jullua Jacobson, ills oldest, daughter, being in Now Mexico. Mex-ico. The funeral will bo held iu Salt Lake Sunday. The ladles of the Degree of Honor held their regular meeting at the Miners union hall Friday night. At tho ciouo of the meeting a. well-arranged programme was given, refreshment were served and tho evening was finished with cards and ga.mes, Mrs. W, S. TIihcs left for J.a ramie.
