Late Monday evening tho stockholders of the Jennie Gold Mining company closed their annual meeting nnd everything was rounded out nt such a quick and quiet rate that no ono but themselves knew that an annual meeting wna scheduled for tho day. Practically the samo board of directors will servo tho company during dur-ing tho coming year that managed the affairs of the organization so successfully success-fully during 1907. Their names arc: Charles A. Short, president and manager; II . R. Elliott, vice-president; W. W. Barton, Bar-ton, secretary and treasurer. A. S. Martin Mar-tin and C. H. Klclnbock will complete tho board. Mr. Klclnbock is a new member of the Jonnlo official family. Ho has boon a promlnont manufacturer of Geneva, Illinois, Il-linois, but has disposed of hl business lo come to Utah and cast hln lot with his associates In the mines. He will be tho president of the Short-Elliott company, com-pany, an organization now being rounded out, papers of incorporation being almost rsady for filing with tho secretary of Btato, Mr. Elliott left Tuosday noon for the East on company business, and Mr. Short will Icavo for tho mine today. Coincident with this annual session of the Jennie was the arrival from the mine of tho second bar of gold bullion from the new mill. Mr. Short stated yesterday yester-day that this bar promised to be of fine proportions, but ho preferred to await the return from tho mine before giving the value of the sa"mo. A letter accompanying the bar stated that the mine was still maintaining its record for splendid showings show-ings at depth, the finding of tho sulphides on the lower level being one of the really significant developments of the late past. |
