Thomas Howard, alias .Joo Sullivan, will be. placed aboard Oregon River and Navigation train No. 2 at S:30 tomorrow morning, and, accompanied ac-companied by Detectives Shannon nnd Chase, will bo taken to Salt Lake, there to fnec the charge of murdering Policeman Police-man Pord In that city, December 16. Howard has shown himself a desperate man since his arrest In this city over a week ago, and every effort will be made to prevent his escape or an attempt on his part at sclf-ueslruction. Howard remains re-mains sullen and refuses to say anything about the charge asalnsl him, or to give any of his past history. It was evident that he recognized the Salt Lako detectives, detec-tives, hut he made an effort to feign Ignorance. Ig-norance. "I know Sullivan as well as I do niv own brothers," said Deter the Shannon to a Tribune reporter tonight, "and I am certain we have the right man. Wo shall make every erfort to get him safely to Utah, although J know we have a difficult task before us.
