t Black Mike Hay Be Lynched Notorious Tough in Jail at Wolton, Wyo.. for Shooting Four Men. Special to The Tribune. CASPER. Wyo . May 11. Frank Smith, alias "Black Mike," a notorious tough, was placed in jail tonight after two desperate des-perate flights. In which he shot a deputy sheriff and three of a posse, one of them fatally. Deputy Sheriff Hodback then attempted to arrest ar-rest Smith and was shot through the hand, losing a finger. Fled to Deserted Cabin. Smith then fled to a deserted cabin, which was soon surrounded by a Sheriffs posse and a hundred sheepmen.
