Show Willing- to Run for Congress. Gen. John Lu Taylor has offered to return re-turn to Salt Lako City and bo elected Congressman from Utah. Ho stipulates, however, that Fred McGurrln shall be his campaign manager, and that tho "boys" shall go deep down Into their Jcano and come up with the long green for campaign cam-paign funds. J. Luzerne Taylor will bo remembered by nil old-tlmo politicians. His run for the nomination to Congress in the campaign cam-paign of 1E90 was one of the features of tho year. Fred McGurrln managed his campaign then. Although "John Lu" did not got the nomination, he evidently liked the way In which Mr. McGurrln made the fight. He 1b now practising law In Denver. Assistant As-sistant City Attorney W H. Brnmcl received re-ceived a letter from him this week, asking ask-ing for nowa of old friends. Ho says he Is going to. Icavo Denver next year for San Frnnclsco. But under the conditions mentioned, ho would consider an Invitation Invita-tion to stop off here and be elected to Congress. Tho boys havo not boon con-' suited yet as to their willingness to put up. |
