To the world's supply of gold, the Sacramento of Men ur. during the year, contributed as many as 6000 ounces; to its supply of quicksilver, the total having a valuation of about 1160,000, During the same period the shareholders of the company were permitted per-mitted to draw down four dividends amounting to $20,000, and while Santa t'laus- failed to make his appearance among them, It was not that he was without a surplus In th treasury. Operations at the properties of the company, that have been productive of dividends amounting to nearly $100,000, have been prosecuted during the year, as have they since they were Inaugurated, Inaugu-rated, the tonnage from them such as to keep the cyanide plant running at full capacity, while the mercurial product pro-duct of them was equally continuous, and kept the battery of small retorts In steady commission. That this portion por-tion of the company's resources shall be made more productive the present year, however, the management will enlarge the plant, nnd to that end orders or-ders will be placed In a short time, no doubt. As a producer of quicksilver In commercial quantity, the Sacramento continues the only one In that category cate-gory in the State and In this Inter-mountain Inter-mountain region.
