Because he shut off tho water from the factory building and caused the operatives, who do piece work, to lose tlmo, about forty girls employed in J. W. Brown's glove factory chased Jacob Roose, the owner of the building, up the street until he look refuge In a grocery. He again turned the water off. whereupon more of tho girls descended to the boiler-room boiler-room and pounded him In great style. The police were called to restore order. Roose was enjoined by court recently from turning off tho water from Brown's factory and for violating the order he was fined by Judge Dlrler. The girls say that he struck some of them and used had language. Roose rccentb' started an opposition glove factory In the same building |
