New York City, New York, has made application In accordance with tho requirements of chapter 100. Scoslon Laws of Utah, 1903. to appropriate the equivalent of thirty (30) socond-fcet of water flowing for a period of thirty davH from Big Cottonwood creek, Salt Lake county. Utah. Said water will be stored during tho flood and winter seasons ln a reservoir mado by constructing an earthen dam In the natural channel of Big Cottonwood ereok Just below "Mill D." at a point which bears south G5 degrees de-grees west. 12&0 feet distant from the southwest corner of section S, township 2 smith, range 3 enst. Salt Lako base and meridian. The water will bo subsequently subsequent-ly released, conveyed through n plpo for a distance of 35.000 feet and used for developing de-veloping power for electric lighting nnd to propel machinery ln Salt Lako county. After having been so used tho water will bo returned to the natural channel of Big Cottonwood creek at a point which bears south 07 degrees 25 minutes west, 23.S20 feet distant from tho northwest corner of section IS. township 2 south, cango 3 cast.
