Show A. C HIDGWAT. It ls persistently repeated In Dtnver that A. C Ridgway has been tendered the position of manager of the Denver & Rio Grande and that he will leave the new Moffat road for the older Colorado property. He Is -35 years of age nnd has worked his way through nil grades of railroading having been both a brake-man brake-man and a clerk Later in his career he became identified with roadway and construction and made that a specialty, with the result that today ho is regarded regard-ed as one of llie best men In that line to be found In the country. He has served many years on the Rio Grande and attained an assistant superintendence' superintend-ence' on that line before the Cripple Creek called him as Its superintendent. From this desk he moved to the general superlntendency and thence lo the general gen-eral management of the road, and It was then that David H Moffat, looking around for a good man to handle his construction, made Ridgway general manager of the Colorado-Utah Construction Con-struction company, building the Denver I Northwestern & Pacific. Now it ls said he will (111 Kdson's place I on the Rio Grande. |
