Show FIND HOUSE ABLAZE FROM TWO FIRES Two fires burning In the same house at the same time was the peculiar state of affairs discovered by the fire department depart-ment on being called to 1290 South Eleventh East about noon yesterday The residence of A. Beyerldge was the scene of the conflagration. One fire j was merrily burning the sofa In the parlor and another was eating a hole In the floor of a, closet fifteen feet away. So far as the firemen could discover j there was no connection between the two, nor could the cause of either blaze be detected. The tire was discovered hy some section sec-tion men working near by. Nobody was at home, so the workmen took everything In charge. While one ran to a telephone the others turned on a gardon hose and began to carry the furniture out of the house. Their timely time-ly assistance saved the house and most of the contents. The five-mile run, following a run to the same part of town the day; before, be-fore, was a severe strain on the fire teams and left them In poor condition . to respond to other calls. The firemen point to the incident as an additional argument In favor of a station In that part of the city. |
