Show SCHLAGKS IS HERE ON INSPECTION TOUR Head of the Rio Grande Hallway and Utah Fuel Company Hakes First Official Visit. VICE-PRESIDENT CHARLES H. SCHLACKS of the Rio. Grande System and Utah Fuel company 1 yesterday arrived In the city on his first tour of Inspection, which will cover nil the property in Utah. Mr. Schlacks Is well remembered as the assistant as-sistant general manager of the Denver &. Rio Grande, and Is the same genial official as of old. For so young a man, the elevation to tho vice-presidency of such a great group of corporations corpora-tions has been frequently spoken of here lately as one of the remarkable moves ln railroad work, and the story of the rise of Mr. Schlacks Is pointed out as what a young man can achieve by keeping everlastingly at It nnd doing it well. But tills Important promotion has not changed him one whit, and when he was asked for a little Interview-on Interview-on railroad affairs his smile was'Just as of yore, and his demeanor exactly the same, that la to say, very courteous, but reluctant to discuss the policies of the companies under his charge, although willing to give- out anything considered really of public Interest.
