Show PREDICTS A GREAT FUTURE FOR CALIENTE Special to The Tribune. CALIENTE, Nev. Juno S. IT. R. Black-man Black-man of St. Paul, Minn., came through camp last evening and examined several claims near here, and was Vfry much pleased with the general mining outlook for tho camp. He stated that from the formation and general appearance of the several properties that they gavo every evidence of being pormanont deposits, and C'allente should, and certa nly would, develop de-velop Into one of the finest camps in southern Nevada. Mr. Blackman went on to Moapa today, and will examine several groups of claims en loute. He has for years past been largely Interested in the copper caps of the Northwest, and is at present mining expert for a large Michigan Michi-gan property which he was disinclined to nnme at present, but the owners of which, ho stated, were sending him Into Nevada for the purpose of looking up promising properties throughout this region with tho view of acquiring them. n Hans Olson and family left Callente this morning tor Pioche. They will remain there for about two weeks- Charles Wilkinson of Reno, Nov., passed througb camp today on his way to Los Vegas ranch. From thcro ho will go overland over-land to Collvllle on the Colorado river, where he will Inspect a group of mining claims in which he is Interested. A large number of claims havo been located lo-cated within the past two days on tho strike or ledge located by Pnlmer and cxandor three miles nortn of camp, which has been opened up five feet wide and shows high assays In free gold. c Tho extension of the Fettcrman claim a quarter of a mile west of Callente has been opened up and shotVB at grass roots a 4-foot ledge of better than f 117 per ton in free gold. |
