Show TWO WELL-KNOWN CITIZENS OF PROVO DEAD Special to Tho Tribune. PROVO, June S. Albert W. Freshwater, a well-known citizen, died this morning at 1 o'clock. Tho cause of his death Is uncertain. un-certain. He leaves a wife and a number of relatives to mourn his loss. Funeral services will be held at the Third ward mceting-houso on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Mrs. Sarah Ann Scott of the Second ward died yesterday afternoon nt 2 o'clock. Mrs. Scott was one of the early settlers of this city. Her family consists of six sons and five daughters, all of whom raised large families. Over a hundred grandchildren grand-children survive her. She was 72 years old. Funeral services will bo held in tho Sixth ward meeting-house. In District court Pleasant Orove is suing Artoraur. Holman to collect on water assessment. as-sessment. In tho case tried yesterday arguments ar-guments were submitted and taken under advisement. In a similar case hoard some time ago the plaintiff moved for a new trial; submitted without argument In the case of W. F. Welsh vs. Lchl lodge No. S3, I. O. O. F., motion for nonsuit non-suit denied; parties given ten days in which to file brief. Tho Commercial club met In regular session ses-sion lost evening, but fcr lack of quorum an adjournment -was taken to Thursday evening at S o'clock. All members aro urged to bo in attendance as Important business connected with the Elks' carnival and certain amendments to by-laws will be considered. Ray Lund, a brother of Prof. A. C. Lund, writing to a friend, states thnt he Is doing do-ing well in his studies. Tho examinations at the Columbia Medical college havo been very rigid this j ear. There are but two students In the medical department of tho college. Mr. Lund was successful and expects ex-pects to graduate in 1WW. Maud Whitehead of Provo has been removed re-moved to a hospital in Salt Lake City and will be operated upon for npptndicitls. |
