Show Reilly and Flyiin Willi Go Tweaty-Roimd Bout AT THE LEFT STANDS TOMMY REILLY; AT THE RIGHT JIMMY FLYNN. " i From a photograph taken especially for The Tribune. 2" At the tap of the timekeeper's gong tonight, Tommy Reilly of San Francisco and Jimmy Flynn of Colorado 4- will toe the scratch for a twenty-round bout, that ought to bo one of the fiercest mills that has ever been pulled -- off in this city. For weeks past both men have been training faithfully in anticipation of the go, and indica- -- T tlons are that those who attend will see a good light. Both men are boxers of considerable reputation, and as "" T they appear to be very evenly matched, a good contest should result. . According to the agreements, the men will weigh in at 158 pounds at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Each man 4- has posted a forfeit to do this weightand reports from the training camps Indicate that neither one will exper- X f lence any difliculty on the scales. Reilly has been down to the limit for several days past and Flynn promises that he will be there as fit as the proverbial fiddle. T The referee has not yet been selected. Both fighters agreed to select some responsible fighting man at the " 4 ringside to act in this capacity. Willard Bean has been suggested, and it is possible that Bean may do the 1 honors, although nothing has been decided In the matter as yet " Preliminary to the main event, "Young Tox." of Pueblo and "Freckles" O'Brien of New Orleans will go eight -f T rounds to a decision. This event ought to be an excellent curtain-raiser, as the principals are pretty clever little T T fellows. O'Brien has twice met Terrible Terry" McGovern and once put th e Brooklyn scrapper down for the . count. He is an old-timer In the light game and has met several of the fastest bantams in the business. 4- "Young Tex." is comparatively an unknown. He came to this city from Colorado, where he made short work -- t of all the little fellows that he met. The lad is thought by many to be a comer and several of the "wise ones" have planked down their coin that he will trim "Freckles." T The match is under the management of Miles Fisher. This Is Fisher's first move In the fight line In this "" x. city, and he is anxious to make good. He has spared no effort to put on a first-clas3 show, and barring an ac- I" 4- cident tonight's light should be one of the best ever held In Salt Lake. The preliminaries start at 8:30 p. m. t UIIIH IIIMII H 4-KH-t-4H-W I I K I H I I H I) t H I 1 f H--H IMI IHMIIMttt |
