Show TAGGART'S VISIONS. Democratic Chairman Talks, of Situation Situa-tion in the East. CHICAGO. Oct. 26. Mr. Bryan and Chairman Taggart wcro met on their arrival ar-rival here by Roger C. Sullivan, National Democratic committeeman from Illinois, and several local politicians, and were drivon to the Metropolo hotel, where the local political situation in Illinois wns discussed. Chairman Taggart refused to talk of the meeting. Whllo on the train to Chicago Chairman Chair-man Taggart had a talk with Mr. Bryan, who has spoken In WXit Virginia. Ohio and Indiana, and the political situation was discussed. Chnlrman Taggart said ho was exceedingly hopeful for Democratic success In Indiana, nnd Mr. Bryan expressed ex-pressed himself as pleased with the outlook out-look In Indiana. Mr. Taggart said: "What I have seen In tho counties nnd towns of Indiana that I visited today convinces me that Indiana Is now in better condition politically than It has been for tho last ilftoen years Every Indication points to Democratic success In Indiana this fall. Conditions are also very satisfactory in New York New Jersey. Connecticut and .Maryland "' Bryan left Chicago at 11:30 o'clock tonight to-night on the Alton road for Kansas City where he expects to poak tomorrow ovenlng.
