Show TO ENTER MONASTERY. Rector and Curate Resign to Become Profosscd Fathers. BOBTON, Oct. 23. The Rev. Edward H. Schlcutcr. i-ector of St. John's EpIscopRl church, Roxbury, and the Rev. Rdgor B. T. Anderson, curato nt the same church, havo sent In their resignations to tho wardens to tako effect on January 1. As soon a3 possible It Is tho intention of thcao clergymen to onter tho monostory of thii Holy Cross at West Park, N. Y,, whero they will be required to serve a two years' noyltlato beforo becoming professed fathers. Mr. Schloutor, who has been connected with St John's for nearly five years, has worked untiringly to build up that parish. Until lost spring ho labored Blngly, but of late has been dividing Ids parochial duties with Mr. Anderson, who came from Baltimore, Balti-more, where ho was Just ordained and had worked in Mount Calvary church. Mr. Schleuter Is a native of New York and a graduate of Trinity college. Mr Anderson Ander-son Is it graduate of tho John. HopklrtB university and of the General Theological seminary, New York. Both clergymen have long been Interested In tho work of Holy Cross, and aro oblatc-s of Mount Chlr vary, which Is an auxiliary organization to the order. |
