A posso of farmers Is scouring tho country coun-try for tho murderer, their wrath Increased by the emphatic statement of Raslnger that his wlfo was attacked before she was killed. There waa every indication of a desperate ntrugglo In the house, and It Is thought that after the young mother had been overpowered Bho was murdered to keep her from making known the Identity of hcr assailant. The shot waa fired from Raslnger's double-barreled gun. which had been standing In a corner of tho kitchen, ea'ch barrel containing a charge of No. 4 shot. Raslnger left his wife at tho house with their baby at 1 p. m. Sho was Ironing In , the kitchen, but walked a short dlstanco from tho house with him, and, kissing him good-bye, returned to her work. Ho went to a remote part of his farm to examine scmo cattle and was returning when he heard the report of a shot in the direction of tho house. He has told tho police ho " thought the sound was that of a door banging When he entered the kitchen ho found his wife dead on tho floor, her head closo to his feet. Apparently she had been shot down when trying to flee Into the open. The baby had Its arms around her neck and was crying plteously. It had upset Its cradlo and crawled across tho floor. Its hands were stained by Its mother's blood and the front of its llttlo white frock waa crimson. Raslnger was so overcome by the discovery discov-ery that he delayed In looking for the murderer. When he did give the alarm no sign of tho mysterious criminal was to be found Tho posse and authorities arc still 'without a clue. Escape from the farmstead farm-stead was easy, as big areas of the surrounding sur-rounding country arc covered thickly with timber As soon as the news of the murder mur-der had spread through the little community com-munity the posse was organized and a thorough search begun.
