Ho Is on his way to Denver, Den-ver, St. Louis, Chicago and probably Now York on a flying business trip. Mr. Ish Is oxtonslvoly lntorostod In tho Blnclc Butte, on of tho biggest low-grade mines In the Goldlleld district. It Is estimated that there Is at least half a million tons of oro in sight exposed by naturo on this property. This rock assays all tho way from $5 to $100 per ton. Tho Black Butto company was organized or-ganized a few months ago. It has such well-known men aa Thomas B. Rickey, C. E. Knox, Hnrry Ramsey. T. L. Oddio and Georso Richards on tho directory. L. L. Patrick and Frank M. Ish aro tho principal owners of this property. It Is understood that arrangements aro now being mado to construct a big mill on tho property, though this will probably prob-ably bo delayed until a sultablo procoss for treating tho ore Is decided upon. Tho Quartzlte Fraction, on which a body of ore thirty feet In width was uncovered a few weeks ago. adjoins the Black Butte. A force of men aro now sinking tho Black Butto with a viow of striking tho vein. Mr. Ish reports that tho excitement at Goldflcld and surrounding camps continues contin-ues unabated. Nearly every day a now strike Is reported. Among those mado during the past week aro those on tho Vernal No. I at Dlamondileld, which la of high grade, the Rosebud, Just cast of the Velvet at Goldflcld and on tho Sun-llower. Sun-llower. Tho big strike on tho Tonopah Club continues to be the main topic of conversation. con-versation. This property Is owned mainly main-ly by WIngfield, Honnesay, Weber and Marvin Ish. Mr. Ish states that tho permanency of the district Is being rapidly proven. Of all tho paying mines discovered but ono has given any Indication of giving out and thnt Is the Velvet, though as no depth has been attained on this property it can not be definitely stated that the voln has becomo exhausted.
