Show HOW THE COHENS TRANSACT BUSINESS Carl Dahlbcrg- told Judge DIehl yesterday yes-terday how Lizzie Cohen had persuaded him to take a walk down Commercial street with her on Wednesday evening; how they went in behind a building; how Lizzie hugged and caressed him; how he made an engagement to meet her on the following evening; how they parted; how ho discovered the losy of 510 from his .pocketbook. and how the woman was found in a room with her husband hitting- the pipe. Dahlbcrg- did not like to tell the story, but the Assistant County Attorney, Dana Smith, insisted, and the young man finally disclosed the process by which he had had his eye teeth cut. Officers Corless and Gulbranson told of the arrest of the woman. She declared de-clared that she was sick and had not been outside of the room all day. Her husband declared It was an outrage. He begged the officers to look at his wife's throat and, while they were inspecting- the throat, she took some greenbacks' out of her stocking and slipped them, to the man. He then excused ex-cused himself and left the room without with-out coat or hat. Ho did not come back. Officer Williams arrested him as a suspicious character and turned him over to Officer Brown.. Officer Brown did not know what to do with him and let him go. When Sergt. He.mpel ordered Cohen's arrest Brown recaptured recap-tured him. When the testimony was all in Cohen I was dismissed on the- motion of his at-! at-! torney. Tho hearing- of hie wife, Lizzie, on the charge of grand larceny, was continued until Wednesday.
