CANYON ROAD (WAY BE MADE WIDER City Engineer Snow has prepared a map showing the proposed widening of Canyon road where It onters Stato street. The road now is only twenty-two twenty-two feet wide at the narrowest point, By purchasing a strip of ground from the abutting property owners along the north Hide of the street the road can be made thirty-eight feet wide. The strip of land necessary for the city to pur-chaso pur-chaso is about 284 feet olng and varies In width from sixteen and a half feet to a fow inches. When the city widens the streot tho property owners promise to haov It paved. It is estimated that the cost to the city will bo about $2450. A report was adopted by tho streets committee last night recommending that tho Improvement ho mado.
