GUN WAS NOT LOADED Little Willie Goodrich Lost His Arm Through the Recklessness of His Elder Brother An unfortunate combination oC a small boy and a gun that was not loaded load-ed brought about a serious accident on the Canal ranch seven miles west of own yesterday morning The boy the sevenyearold son of John Goodrich rained the gun on his 5yearold brother Willie and pulled the trigger The gun as unloaded guns are apt to do went off The charge of line shot entered the youngsters right arm just above the elbow powder burned his face and scattered a iew of the leaden pellets In his left arm and legs Willie vas brought in to the Holy Cross hospital hos-pital nnd turned over to Dr Mayo who found that the mipsllcs had carried away the bone muscles nerves and blood vessels In the right arm This being the case there was nothing to do but amputate the limb Dr McElroy assisted In the operation The arm wan removed the other wounds were properly dressed and the little fellow was getting along as well as could be expected last night
