Show ANN ANNUAL UAL assessment WORK miner wallace idaho the miner has received a copy of the joint resolution passed by the house and senate suspending annual assessment work on mining claims for the year 1919 As there has been more or less misunderstanding and uncertainty regarding the provisions of the resolution it is herewith reproduced in full it will be seen that the exemption held by b applies to only five claims a single owner in other words if a person perso or company owns five claims or a less nw num ber he is not required to perform assessment work this year in lieu of which he must file an affidavit in the office where the claim or claims are located setting w forth tb the that he intends to hold bold the same under provisions of the resolution if he be owns 0 more than five claims he may claim exeda tion for five of them and perform assess asses resola res s ment work on the remainder the tion follows joint resolution requirements of annual andua its to suspend the caal c ses work on certain mining during the year 1919 rep gp of 0 resolved by the senate and house bouse of anler A of the united states the provis P that lea ica in congress assembled 5 sta statute sion of section 2324 of the revised eab on of the united states which requires mining claim located and until a P 1 has been issued not less than worth of labor to be performed or improvements aggregating such amount to be made during each year be and the same is hereby suspended during the calendar year 1919 provided that no such suspension shall be granted to any one claimant for more than five claims provided that every claimant of any such mining claim in order to obtain the benefits of this resolution shall file or cause to be filed in the office where the location notice or certificate is recorded on or before december 31 1919 a notice of his desire to hold said mining claim under this resolution section 2 that this resolution shalliot shall not be construed to alter modify amend or repeal the public resolution entitled joint resolution to relieve the owners of mining claims who have been mustered into the military or naval service of the united states as officers or enlisted men from performing assessment work during the term of such service approved july 17 1919 passed by the house of representatives july 31 1919 |
