Show The Colorado Digginus. Further Fur-ther information has been received relative re-lative to Iheso diggings. The first discovery was made at tho mouth of the Rio Virgen by a party of miners from Arizona. Tho party divided, throe going to St. George to look out a route for obtaining supplies, and eighteen following the bed of tho river prospecting. They traced the gold up tho river to the mouth of the Kanab-wash, Kanab-wash, where they discovored the gold coming from the Buckskin mountains region with tho wash. There they went to work and aro making from ten to eighteen dollars a day. Tho extent of tho placers is said to be about twenty-four twenty-four miles. Large numbers of minors arc passing through St. Gcorgo on their way to the now diggings. |
