There is no probability whatever that the criminal crim-inal suits already commenced and pending pend-ing will be abandoned. A measure is soon to be introduced in cougrcss for supplying the neGessary pecuniary means to meet the expenses of the prosecution. Some of the members of congress are considering the subject of a supplemental supple-mental anti-polygamy bill, in order to obviate the present obstacles. The act cannot be enforced owing to the secrecy with which polygamous marriages are cousummated.and a remedy is suggested 1 by making proof of cohabitation, or1 acknowledgement of the same, sufficient suf-ficient W sustain an indictment.
