S. court room, at 2 p.m. of that day, to hear tho views of governor Woods on the formation of o class for tho study of the Bible. Mr. C. W. Tappan was palled to tho chair, on the motion of judge llaydon; and on motion of Dr. Cougar, Mr. Fabian was elected secretary. secre-tary. Alter a few remarks by the ulmir, govomor Wootjs was introduced, who read tho lOord Psalm; when he Haled that he had been requested by many friends to form a class for the iuvotigation of the scriptures; and p oceeded to give his views as to how tho Bible oould bo studied to the best advantage. |
