Show f i "Fritz" "Have you seen Fritz?" was the question yesterday; and when the reply was "No," the response was "See it by all means." One gentleman gentle-man classically remarked "It knocks the socks off anything I have seen yet," and the opinion was liberally endorsed. "Fiitz" in Emmet's hands is a huge thing, and the recommendation we give to those who have not seen it, and who wish to enjoy an evening's genuine genu-ine amusement is: Go and see it. There is so much nature, so much humor, hu-mor, such genuine fun, with abundance abun-dance of excellent singing and dancing and rollicking comicalities in the character char-acter that the audience are charmed from opening to close. It is not that Mr. Emmet does one thing well and the rest middling, but that all he does is finished, natural and artistic. This is the last night that "Fritz" will be played, Mr. Emmet leaving for the east |
