Show Death Frsm Jumping the Rope. The Akron (0 ) Beacon records the death of an interesting little girl named Isadore Moody, cau-ed by iuflamation of the bowels, brought on by too continued con-tinued jumping of the rope. In the strife with her companions to see which could jump the greatest number of times without stopping, the deceased accomplished the feat something over three hunrded times, after which, feel ing greatly exhausted 6he sat or laid down upon the grass for a considerable time, probably takingcold by so doing. The next morning, though complaining to her companions of being sore and lame, before entering school she made one hundred and seventy consecutive jumps more. About eleven o'clock she was compelled to return home from school, severe infiamation of the bowels rapidly developing itself, from which she died three days thereafter. |
