in the institution continues 2 uabated and it is evident that its working members are receiving a good many orders and these too for some of the leading investment stocks Mercur was active in the bidding and offerings but while the stock was offered at a figure lower than ever before no sales were chronicled still it is strange that such is the case for Mercur is a good buy at prices named in yesterdays call no difference which way the pending sale goes The East Golden Gate Mining company com-pany made application to list with the exchange several days ago and paid the required listing and examination fees The property had not been passd upon by the listing committee however and through some misunderstanding misunder-standing It appeared on the board yesterday yes-terday and had been called and two sales made before the attention of the presHng officer was called to the fact that it had not been properly listed when by a vote of the members of the exchange the name and the sales were erased from the board The sales were confirmed afterwards when the unlisted un-listed stocks were called This call of unlisted stocks as previously pre-viously stated 5n these columns is now one of the leading features of the business busi-ness of the exchange and is anxiously looked forward to by the crowds that throng the lobby Of the stocks called Little Pittsburg has the lead with Dalton a good second The Little Pittsburg by the way is a mine with a historical attachment Years ago it sold as a silver mine for 75000 and was laid away as unpr > itable to be resurrected when the Mercur boom struck the country It is in the heart of the gold zone has a good showing of 10 and m ore and is being developed devel-oped as fast as a force of men under an able superintendent can break rock and hoist ore It is no wonder then that it is a favorite on change Sunshine was heavily pressed by the I bears but no transfers were made The business transacted was as follows fol-lows tJ 4 ti E 0 p
