Show WORK OF THE COURTS RECEIVER FOR THE SALT UAICE HARDWARE COMPANY ASKED Extension of Time In the Oregon Short Line Foreclosure Suits Mrs Evans Grunted a Decree of Divorce Short Orders mid Note A suit was yesterday filed In the Third district court by Benjamin F Bauer against the Salt Lake Hardware company a corporation of good standing stand-ing which has been in business on a large scale in this city since 1889 The plaintiff was formerly the manager of the company and he now asks that a receiver for the company be appointed and that an injunction issue t prevent pre-vent Julian E Clasbey and W H Spencer from acting as directors of the corporation I I is alleged in the complaint that only 406 shares of the capital stock has been issued and that of that number I the plaintiff owns 150 shares and James T Clasbey the balance of 256 shares that Clasbey and the plaintiff plain-tiff have had disagreements which have seriously impaired the companys business by reason of which the plaintiff plain-tiff withdrew from the management on December 23 last leaving Clasbey in charge and that one thing on which Clasbey and the plaintiff were agreed was that the company should be wound upI up-I is then set uo that the company owes 55000 and that its assets consist of a stock of goods on hand worth 50000 and book accounts amounting to 30000 The court set the hearing on motion for a receiver for January 20 OREGON SHORT LINE FORECLOSURE FORECLOS-URE The foreclosure suits of the American Amer-ican Loan and Trust company against the Oregon Short Line Utah I Northern Railway company were called up before Judge Howat and i until February 10 was given to plead to complaint in intervention and until the same date to prepare and file bill Iof exceptions on order granting leave for James Ham and Oliver Ames to intervene I DIVORCE GRANTED Helena E Evans was granted a decree de-cree of divorce from James S Evans by Judge Young The defendant failed to appear and the case went by default de-fault The parties intermarried in this city on August 23 3890 and lived together as husband and wife until March 1995 The plaintiff testified that for more than a year last past her husband had contributed nothing to her support torney Judge Sawyer was the plaintiffs at REPORTERS FEES Thomas Marioneaux has commenced suit in the Third district court against Alonzo E Hyde and John Beck to recover re-cover 554 and interest alleged to be due for services rendered by reporting testimony for Hyde and Beck in a case for an accounting brought by John Beck against A E Hyde and heard before Attorney George Sutherland Suther-land as referee SHORT ORDERS Alfred D Brim vs Thomas W Jones demurrer t < complaint overruled and judgment entered for plaintiff as prayed Kayaville City vs Simon A Thompson Thomp-son selling liquor without a license files ordered transferred to county clerk of Davis county People vs George Bates murder in second degree flies ordered transferred to clerk of mooele county People vs Peter Clark murder in the I first degree files and transcript of record ordered transferred to the clerk of Summit county Park Citv vs David Tewkesbury appeal files ordered transferred to Summit county B F Bauer vs Salt Lake Hardware company motion for receiver set for hearing on Jan 20 GENERAL NOTES A V Taylor Frank Pierce and F S Richards were appointed a committee commit-tee t examine Charles B Atterbury an applicant for admission to the bar Judtre Hiles made an order directing the sheriff of Salt Lake county to bring forward to plead at 10 a m today all persons now under indictment I I |
