Auction Creating Great I Interest Wool in the Boston Market Mar-ket Foreign Finances Western Grain and Cattle New York Jan 15Wall street was agreeably surprised today to find that the formal announcement of the dissolution dissolu-tion of the world famous government bond syndicate was not followed by any sensational developments The knowledge that the new government loan would in the event of necessity command the support sup-port of the members of the syndicate either individually or a a combined force caused the news to be received with equanimity The volume of business was light and the market displayed a waiting tendency This condition may be set down to the uncertainty that prevails in financial circles a to the probable course of the money market in the event of indiscriminate withdrawals of gold from the banks or the subtreasury to pay for allotments of the government bonds As to the loan itself no doubt is expressed as to its being fully subscribed or even largely oversubscribed and the increased competition for the bonds owing to the appearance of the members of the syn dicate as individual bidders is expected to result in very satisfactory prices t the treasury department The market after an early show of strength develop ed a sagging tendency due to the doubts saggng in some circles a to the way the market would take the news of the syndicate withdrawal Sugar wa attacked and yielded Hi percent per-cent Losses in the general market however how-ever did not exceed 1 per cent and around delivery hour an inquiry rose for the industrial stocks
