Show I BACK FROM OREGON I T A Walley Well Pleased With the I Baker City Country T A Walley who is known by nearly I every mining man in Utah returned I yesterday from Oregon where in Pleasant Vale this side of Baker City I with L E Kiter i and others of this city he is interested i dl in a number of I very promising gold claims For the past six months Mr Walley I has been engaged in i the development Bth 1 ed i I of these properties and he states that the outlook is very encouraging In I fact he is enthusiastic over the miner I alization of that region and says no one could ask for a better country to I mine In and so highly is he interested in the work blocked out by himself and I associates that he will probably return to the hills within the next day or two Besides the quartz ledges of that por tion of Oregon there are rich and ex I tensive i placer diggings and Mr Wal Icy referred to an instance of the merits mer-its of the camp by reciting the experi ence of Mr Breaushaw and son These gentlemen are the owners o placer diggings dig-gings on Louse creek about 15 miles I from Pleasant Valley and in one month the two took out and banked over 4 500 in i placer gold some of which was I I in nuggets while the balance was very I coarse i c01 large number o prominent mining i men of Utah are deeply interested in mining operations in the vicinity of Baker City and it is understood that j they have good reason to feel encouraged encour-aged over the outlook |
