OCR Text	Show I seems that a great many money orders have been found In the congressional congres-sional library that were never cashed I is thought the amount may reach the sum that Librarian Spofford was short The shortage that accrued under un-der his management has always been thought to be the result of unbusiness like ways and not of any desire to misappropriate funds This find will go to prove this theory I is certainly to be hoped that the full amount of his shortage which he made good maybe may-be recovered through finding misplaced I money orders I would leave Mr 1 Spoffords reputation untarnished J ii
