| Show COURT AT HEAVER Time Occupied By Cases of Minor IiiiliorUiincc a Grand Jury Special to The Herald BEAVER Nov 21At a late hour last night the jury returned a verdict of guilty of battery against Chester L DeWitt who was tried during the day for assault with intent to commit com-mit rape on Laura l1 Yate of Marys vale In the case of Beaver City against G H Fennemore for selling liquor without a license appealed from the justices court the jury today returned a verdict of not guilty Jack Moore and Lars Thompson have been on trial most of the day for stealing steal-ing a calf alleged to have belonged to Henry Wilson The case was hard and ably fought on both sides and the jury is still out considering their verdict I is believed in this case that the jury will not be able to arrive at a verdict The case of Tanner Bakes company vs W W Means is now in progress of trial This is a suit on contract for the delivery of a herd of sheep which defendant claims was not delivered according ac-cording to contract The grand jury is still in session but will probably be discharged in the morning |
