| Show IOCGUT IN TIlE BRICKYARD 3Ic sr r Dent and Airls Are Extending Extend-ing Their Holding in Mercur One of the most Important deals oJ the week has been the purchase of an j interest in the Brickyard group in Mercur by Messrs Airis and Dern of the Mercur company This carries out the promise of Mr Airis that he and Mr Dern would not sever their connection with the camp when they let go their hold on the Mercur There is still some little vncortainty aoout the exact nature of i e deal but it is known that the two gentlemen will acquire at least a fourth interest in the property and that the price has been figured on a basis in the neighborhood neigh-borhood of 150000 or 200000 The title to the Brickyard is somewhat some-what in dispute owing to the overlapping over-lapping of some other claims and some complications that have arisen Nevertheless Never-theless the two experienced gentlemen who have made such a success of the Mercur are willing to go in on it It I is known that they consider the group f one of the best in the camp and that I they believe it will fall but little short T of the showing made by the Mercur I This will extend considerably the holdings of Messrs Airis and Dern as I they are interested in the Malvern the i I Rovers and other good properties I They have shown excellent foresight in j I I I their work so far and will be among II I the most prominent operators in the I i camp I II I |
