Show FIELD FOR MISSIONARIES Work In Cuba Porto Rico and the Philippines New York June 21The committee on China and the executive council of the Presbyterian board of foreign missions mis-sions to which was referred the expediency I expe-diency of opening missionary work in I the Philippine Islands has reported J recommending That the executive I council be directed to hold an early I conference with the representatives of I the American board the Baptist m ssion union the missionary society of the Methodist Episcopal church and the f board of foreign missions of the reformed reform-ed church in America with a view to a frank and mutual understanding as to the responsibilities of American Christians Chris-tians to the people of Cuba Porto Rico and the Philippine islands and an agreement as to the most effective distribution dis-tribution of the work among the several sev-eral boards if it shall be found expedient expedi-ent and practicable to undertake it The report was submitted to the board of foreign missions during their regular monthly meeting by W R Richards |
