Show I I THE DAVIS WILL Miss Calhoun Claims That She and ant Other Claimants Have Been Asked to Compromise SAN FRANCISCO April 29The Calhoun claimants and the contestants of the will of the millionaire miner of Montana Andrew J Davis have been asked to compromise and to end the litigation which has been in progress for so many years Eleanor Calhoun the granddaughter of DaVis and the Californian who has won so many honors hon-ors on the London stage arrived in this city She has come to inform her relatives of the negotiations that have been under way in New York Miss Calhoun was not inclined last night to discuss the will contest in detail The legal fight ha been in progress pro-gress for several years Davis it will be remembered left an estate of over 16000000 to a collateral relative ignoring ig-noring his wife and two daughters who live in this state Very little can be said as yet said Miss Calhoun as the negotiations have not gone much further than an offer of compromise We have been asked to settle the contest and it maybe may-be that we will see our way clear to accept able conditions which are disagree |
