Show I IDA BOWMAN DEAD I She Was Ill a LUte Less Than Five Days I After an illness of less than five days Miss Ida Bowman lies dead at the residence of her parents 55 Pear street On Friday last she was taken ill and the doctors called in diagnosed her suffering as the result of appendicitis appen-dicitis I was decided that an operation opera-tion was necessary and this was ton neessary thi performed per-formed on Monday last by Drs Fisher McKenna and Ewing The untold agony ag-ony suffered was ended at 2 oclock yesterday morning when her spirit took its flight Miss Bowman was 17 years old of a most intelligent and lovable disposition disposi-tion and but few girls of her age have ever given greater promise of a life of goodness and usefulness An apt student stu-dent she graduated some time ago from the Washington school and was one of the leaders in all the branches she studied at the High school Though young she was always one of the most sincere and earnest workers in every public enterprise in the ward in which she lived and to her intelli gence and thought was due many of the successes obtained by those associations asso-ciations tons Her death comes not only as a severe blow to her parents and relatives but it will be keenly felt by all who ever had the pleasure of her acquaintance for there were none who knew her who did not love her The funeral services will be held at the Nineteenth ward meeting house tomorrow at 1 a m and friends who desire to take a last look at the features fea-tures will be able to do so at the family residence between the hours of 930 and 1030 a m |
