H JIILAT DA FOR BOWIBES Forty Kegs of Beer Emptied Into Xew York Gutters NEW YORK Aug 31A special to the World from Hartford Conn says In pursuance of an order from the police court Deputy Sheriff Foote turned into the gutter forty kegs of beer which had been seized from the Herold Brewing company under the recent liquor seizure act Several hundred hun-dred thirsty residents were on hand many of them carrying cans which they scooped up the fluid with as I ran behind the curbs The kegs were seized from the delivery wagons ot the brewery on the ground that they were being sold without a license The beer had been held about a week in the ambulance room at the police station sta-tion and was a little stale The crowd grew so great that Patrol Driver gew Drver OBrien turned the hose on them to clear the street
