| Show FELL INTO THE POOL I FL POOL I Lamentable Accident That Bold Legislator Leg-islator One of the country members of the legislature has in mind a new measure meas-ure which he proposes to introduce at some session in the near future This bill will interest many Salt Lak ers as by i the said member hopes to compel the Sanitarium people to place a strong railing about Its big swimming pool The tae behind them the-m is interesting The member referred to went for a swim at the Sanitarium the other I evening with a number of legislators He received towels from the man behind be-hind the counter paid his twobits and followed his colleagues into the big I pool room There was a crowd of bathers bath-ers splashing about the pool and a te newcomer was walking along the smooth wet asphalt alongside the pool watcnmg tne antics ot toe swimmers a dripping bather just emerged from the shower bath dashed by him to a bathroom The two brushed shoulders and then alack Mr Legislators feet I slipped on the treacherous asphalt and with a yell of dismay he soused clothes overcoat hat and all into the pool The water was not deep just there but that did nbt help the unfortunate member from the country For a moment mo-ment he struggled vainly to recover himself swallowing gallons of sulphur water Some of the bathers came to his assistance and helped him to his feet Then he gathered up his hat which had floated forlornly away and waded slowly and ruefully to the steps where his comrades had gathered to give him hilarious greeting They put him to bed until his clothes had been dried apd then he went home in a hack |
