and a delegation from Salt Lake today and tonight celebrated in royal style the v j < ning of the Westerns branch to this olace Thero was speechmaking and feasting during tho day and a dance tonight to-night Everybody turned out and every ever body enjoyed the occasion to the fullest extent A special train of seven heavily loaded coachc left Provo at noon and arrived here at 230 The run over was Hammond and Mrs Richards Rich-ards accompanied their husbands At the head of the ProVo delegation were Mayor Jones with Councilmen God dard Harding Keeler and Taylor Recorder Re-corder Nelson Superintendent of Water worlt Armitstead Health Officer Simmons Sim-mons Street Supervisor Farrer and Fire Chief Tailor Many other prominent citizens citi-zens of Provo were present Welcomed By Mayor Clyde When the train reached the depot Mayor Y Clyde of Heber was a the depot to meet it and welcome the visitors The Heber band was also out and during the few minutes walt that ensued discoursed a programme of patriotic airs When the band finished Mayor CJvde announced to the multitude Chat further exercises would be conducted in the courthouses court-houses and Invited everybody to be present pres-ent The whole town of Heber on the line of march was profusely decorated The display of flags and bunting at the courthouse house was particularly effective Mayor Cljde presided over the
