TO AID SCOVEL Meeting of the Chicago Alumni Association As-sociation of the U of M Chicago Feb 20A special meeting of the Chicago Alumni association of the University of Michigan was held at the Sherman house today to take action in aid of Sylvester Scovel the New York correspondent who is im urisonpd in Cuba Mr Scovel graduated grad-uated in the class of 1SSS Resolutions denouncing the Spanish government in vigorous terms were introduced but after debate they were rejected with the understanding that they be submitted sub-mitted In a modified form at another meeting of the alumni to be held Monday Mon-day A committee was appointed to draft a more moderate set of resolutions resolu-tions The majority of the members who responded to the call were prominent I promi-nent members of the Chicago bar I IS 1
