| Show STRUCK A FISSURE Encouraging Showing in the Opex Ground at Mammoth P J Donohue of the Opex mine near Mammoth who was in the ci Jester day brought with him the pleasing pJ ir i Information that on the day before as intimated In yesterdays Herald a fissure was uncovered In the bottom of the Opex shaft at a depth of 355 feet The fissure Is six inches in width and Is filled with heavily mineralized manganese and iron and a this is a most favorable Indication in that locality lo-cality it is believed that the workings are on the top of a fine body of ore and i is the opinion of those who are Interested in the property and who are acquainted with the formation In that portion of the district that when the ore is encountered it will be a continuation contin-uation of the CentennlalEureka vein Three shifts are employed in the sinking of the shaft and from four to five feet a day is being made so that i will not be long now before it will be known for a certainty just what to expect from the property As i is the management of the company com-pany is feeling good over the showing made and The Herald is Informed that the moment a bona fide strike is made the stockholders of the company will be duiy notified of the fact Mr Donohue states that the Mammoth Mam-moth is looking well on the 1600 level |
